I was sad to learn of The Royal Warsaw closing. In search of another to serve up my favorite food, I was referred by a polish woman located over 20 miles and several counties away to Tatra Haus. And has now become my new favorite place. We went for early dinner with no reservation, was seated immediately in the beautiful left dining area and across from the kitchen door (more on that later). Started with a Zywiec Porter, and a flavored martini (I heard was very good). Prepared to order a few entrees (just for myself), was happy to see the Tatra Trio appetizer; a generous portion of polish favorites: pierogies, grilled sausage / kielbasa, and golabki, with the dipping sauces for each. For Saturday dinner, I ordered the dumplings (since only offered on the weekends). 4 good sized mountain dumplings, light and smothered in mushroom sauce, was an absolute delight. The side of goulash was nice and hot, and loaded with meat. The celery-carrot salad was amazing; I only see it is offered also with the chicken kiev, but I recommend adding it to an entre if possible. My date (who is Polish and grew up eating homemade Polish food) had the kielbasa entree. She mentioned many times to me and our waitress, Natalia (who was perfect, btw) that the meal was so much better than her aunt's cooking. Was too stuffed for dessert, but I did give a 20 cash tip for the kitchen staff (at the restaurant, refer to the last page of the menu on the bottom), and they did not disappoint. Had everyone in the dining room smiling!! Sitting in the left dining area across from the kitchen door was no issue at all. Well insulated for no kitchen noise, just a bell ringing when an order is ready for serving. A nice touch. My apologies for the half-eaten dinner in the photo. I was that excited to dig in, and it was good enough to stop everything and share.

I've come here on a few occasions for dinner and it has been phenomenal every time! The food is amazing, great atmosphere, but the service is where they shine most. After a last minute fall out with the venue for my friends bridal shower, I thought to bring our event to Tatra Haus pretty last minute and they completely saved the day. We were able to get a long table in the area near the bar so it felt extremely private and we had an extra table for a flower bar activity. The pre-fixe menu options for our event were great, and we were able to get pitchers of sangria mimosas which worked out so well. So accommodating and amazing every step of the way - highly recommend whether it's a private event or casual dinner!

We recently dined at Tatra Haus in Wallington, NJ, and were thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, it was a memorable experience that exceeded expectations. The cuisine is authentically Polish—rich, hearty, and clearly crafted with care and tradition. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions that truly reflect the warmth of Eastern European hospitality. While the exterior may be modest, stepping inside transports to the Carpathian Mountains—with a cozy and rustic atmosphere. The service was attentive and personable, striking just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness. The bar is exceptionally well-stocked, with a thoughtful selection and impressively tall pours that complement the dining experience beautifully. In short, Tatar Haus offers an exceptional blend of authenticity, ambiance, and generous hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful restaurant and the food was very well prepared and delicious. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Traditional Polish food with some more familiar foods for those who may not be as familiar with the cuisine. Impeccably clean and decor was well appointed. The food is really well executed, prices are very fair and a good assortment of drinks. Definitely recommend!
